US Lacrosse Announces New Partnership with U.S. Bank

Lacrosse Enthusiasts Pocket New Source of Support with Affinity Credit Card from U.S. Bank

MINNEAPOLIS and BALTIMORE — The more than 200,000 men and women who enjoy playing, coaching and watching the game of lacrosse now have a new way to support and promote their sport with the US Lacrosse Visa Platinum Card from U.S. Bank. The card generates revenue to US Lacrosse each time a new card is activated and repeatedly thereafter each time the card is used for everyday purchases.

"We're thrilled to be a part of one of the fastest growing sports in the country," said Tanya Turner, senior vice president of affinity products at U.S. Bank. "The value of sports in our lives is tremendous, particularly when it comes to growing healthy kids, which is why we are proud to embrace and support the members and fans of US Lacrosse."

Cardholders will have access to three different U.S. Bank credit card products, including a card that provides cash back on purchases and another that earns reward points that can be redeemed for gift certificates, merchandise and nearly any reward the cardholder chooses with the Name Your Own Reward option.

There are three card images to choose from, including "The Sport of Lacrosse," featuring a famous bronze lacrosse statue at the National Hall of Fame, a second celebrating "The Women's Game," featuring a photo of the women’s national team lacrosse equipment and a third honoring "The Men's Game," with a picture of the men's national team lacrosse equipment.

"There's no question that our sport has gained momentum and that US Lacrosse is well-poised to welcome new participants both on and off the field," said Steve Stenersen, executive director of US Lacrosse. "We look forward to welcoming the support that is generated through this creative outlet where everyday purchases can support the passion of our game. This is yet another way for lacrosse enthusiasts to support the US Lacrosse theme of 'One for all.'"

US Lacrosse was founded on Jan. 1, 1998, as the national governing body of men's and women's lacrosse. The mission of US Lacrosse is to ensure a unified and responsive organization that develops and promotes the sport by providing services to its members and programs to inspire participation, while preserving the integrity of the game. It envisions a future which offers people everywhere the opportunity to discover, learn, participate in, enjoy, and ultimately embrace the shared passion of the lacrosse experience.
