Convention Coming to Balitmore in 2009 |

US Lacrosse has announced that it will hold its annual national convention at the Baltimore Convention Center from 2009-2011. The convention, an educational opportunity for coaches, officials and league administrators, annually attracts nearly 5,000 participants.
The US Lacrosse National Convention features clinics for coaches and officials for both men’s and women’s lacrosse. The 2006 convention, sponsored by Harrow Sports, included more than 125 clinics, including 15 live-field demonstrations in the “On-Field Experience presented by Warrior.” Away from the classrooms, the convention also had a record 116 vendors on hand displaying their goods and services in the largest vendor hall in the event’s history. The convention also features numerous business meetings related to the sport, including one of three annual meetings of the US Lacrosse Board of Directors.
“We are extremely excited to bring the premier educational lacrosse event to our hometown of Baltimore in 2009-2011,” said Joshua Christian, managing director of programs and services for US Lacrosse. “Baltimore, as Philadelphia has done, will provide us the opportunity to deliver our educational experience to the large amount of attendees that reside in the Mid-Atlantic region while creating an easily accessible destination for the coaches, officials and administrators that travel in from across the nation.”

"Both US Lacrosse and the city of Baltimore have seen great growth over the past six years and we are excited to welcome their attendees to Baltimore where they can ‘get in on’ a city with a great lacrosse spirit. As the home to US Lacrosse headquarters, the Lacrosse Museum and National Hall of Fame as well as powerhouse college lacrosse teams and a large number of lacrosse fans, Baltimore is excited to host this convention once again."
The 2007 US Lacrosse National Convention, which will be sponsored by Harrow Sports for the third consecutive year, will be held from Jan. 11-14 at the Pennsylvania Convention Center in Philadelphia. The convention was last held in Baltimore in 2003 when it was held at the Marriott Waterfront and Renaissance Harborplace hotels.
