BALTIMORE —
CSTV has announced that it will air 2006 US Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates Men's Division A and Women's Division national championship games in their entirety. Both games will be aired on a tape-delay basis on Monday, May 29 with the women's game starting at 8 p.m. and the men’s game at 10 p.m (Eastern time). Highlights from the Men's Division B championship game will air as part of the men's telecast.

"We're really excited to be able to work with CSTV to help bring additional exposure to the intercollegiate associates," said Glen Schorr, US Lacrosse managing director for marketing and branding. "This is one of the fastest-growing levels of lacrosse in the country and through our-long term commitment with CSTV, we'll be able to showcase the intercollegiate associates to a national audience."

The 2006 US Lacrosse Intercollegiate Associates National Championships, sponsored by Lax World, Sports Her Way and STX, will be held from May 9-13 in Dallas, Texas. Forty-four teams in three classifications—Men's Division A (16), Men’s Division B (12) and Women's Division (16)—will compete for national championships. The three championship games will be played on May 13 at 9,800-seat Tom Kimbrough Stadium. UC-Santa Barbara has won the last two Men's Division A titles, the University of San Diego won the inaugural Men's Division B championship last year and Cal Poly has won five consecutive women’s championships.

The intercollegiate associates are primarily non-varsity teams that compete in a more formal structure than traditional college club teams, with many of the elite teams playing national schedules. There are 188 teams competing in the two men’s divisions this spring and 176 women's teams.

US Lacrosse and CSTV are in the third year of a partnership to help bring college lacrosse to fans around the nation. CSTV will air nearly 30 men's and women's lacrosse games this season, including five NCAA championship games. CSTV had aired highlight shows of the intercollegiate associates national championships the last two years.
