BALTIMORE- US Lacrosse has announced Eastern Massachusetts as the location of the final two U.S. Men’s National Team clinics for this fall. Scheduled for November 18th and 19th, 2006, the clinics provide an excellent opportunity for youth and high school boys to learn from the best players in the United States.
Members of the 2006 Men’s National Team, including Kyle Harrison, Matt Striebel and Nicky Polanco, will be conducting clinics at the Thayer Academy in Braintree, MA on November 18th for youth lacrosse players ages 8 to 12; and at Gordon College in Wenham, MA on November 19th for players ages 13 to 18. Both clinics are scheduled to begin at 11 a.m. and conclude at 2:30 p.m.
With the hope of bringing in over 200 young players, the Eastern Massachusetts clinics will conclude the 2006 Men’s National Team Fall Clinics, which also included an event in Pleasantville, New York earlier this fall. US Lacrosse hopes to build on the clinic series in 2007 with increased numbers of clinicians and participants.
"We are thrilled to have the capability to offer a program such as this to the sport," said Jody Martin, Men’s Division Director at US Lacrosse. "The national team clinics allow the best players of the game the opportunity to work with youth members of all levels, enabling them to share their personal experiences and promote improvement among all ages and levels of play."
The cost of each clinic is $45 and each participant must be a member of US Lacrosse to participate. To become a member, please visit www.uslacrosse.org/membership. If you have questions regarding your US Lacrosse membership status, please call 410.235.6882 ext. 102.
Both clinics are now sold out.
