2006 National Senior Showcase Rosters Announced

2006 National High School Senior Showcase logoBALTIMORE — US Lacrosse is proud to announce the rosters for the 2006 National High School Senior Showcase that will be held from June 23-25 in Fenton, Mo., at the St. Louis Soccer Park. The most diverse boys' lacrosse high school all-star game, featuring some of the nation's top talent, will have players representing 32 different states in the country.

The four teams are broken up into four regions (East, North, South and West) and will participate in a championship format. The full schedule is below. This is the third year for the National High School Senior Showcase and the third year that the event has taken place at the St. Louis Soccer Park.

There are two coaches per team and this year's 2006 NSS coaching staff represents seven different states, they are:
East: Kevin Murray (Bishop Hendricken HS, R.I.) and Paul Stankewicz (Henderson HS, Pa.)
North: Bruce Atkinson (Upper St. Clair HS, Pa.) and Jono Chapin (Middlebury Union, Vt.)
South: Steve Claiborne (Woodbridge HS, Va.) and Michael Gannon (Pace Academy, Ga.)
West: Brandon Fortier (Issaquah HS, Wash.) and Adam Lechner (Monte Vista, Calif.)

Players were selected based on nominations from their respective area chairman of the US Lacrosse Men's Division Coaches Council. Several regions did not submit players for this event, they include: Anne Arundel County (Md.), Carmel, Calif., Los Angeles, Loudon County (Va.), New York Metro, Northern Va. and Southern Md.
The North beat the West in 2005, 16-8.
