BALTIMORE — US Lacrosse announces that it has signed an agreement with Sprinturf, maker of synthetic turf systems, to become an official sponsor and the "official turf" partner of the sport’s national governing body. This agreement is for six years and will expire in 2012. The sponsorship agreement was developed by 361° Sports + Event Marketing of New York.
"We are thrilled to have Sprinturf join us as an official sponsor of our organization," said Glen Schorr, US Lacrosse’s managing director of marketing and branding. "Synthetic surfaces are an increasingly important part of the sport and we felt it was important to develop a relationship with one of the industry leaders. During our selection process we were extremely impressed with the entire Sprinturf organization and their world-class turf systems, which helped make our decision so easy".
The agreement will allow US Lacrosse and Sprinturf to work together to reach program administrators and coaches to provide quality turf systems for every level of play. As part of this agreement Sprinturf will continue to be the official turf provider for the "On Field Experience" for US Lacrosse’s annual national convention. In addition, Sprinturf will offer special consideration to all US Lacrosse members who are installing synthetic surfaces during the contract period.
"Our relationship with US Lacrosse is a perfect fit and a natural extension of our existing sales and marketing strategy that focuses on informing and educating prospective buyers of synthetic turf systems " stated Elliot Levine, Sprinturf president and chief operating officer. "No other organization has the stature and gives us the reach into this great sport like US Lacrosse."
Sprinturf is a leading designer, manufacturer and installer of synthetic turf systems for athletic fields. In addition, Sprinturf provides synthetic turf for playgrounds, landscaping, golf greens and tees, and recreational areas. Sprinturf pioneered and installed the first successful all-rubber infill athletic fields and continues to hold important patents for all-rubber turf systems.
