In the summer of 2008, the U.S. Men’s Under-19 Team will defend its ILF Under-19 World Championship in British Columbia, Canada.
PLAYER TRYOUTS
Player tryouts for the team will take place in June or July 2007. The US Lacrosse Men’s High School Area Chairmen will distribute player tryout applications in early 2007. PLAYERS SHOULD NOT APPLY NOW. Players eligible for an invitation to try out may not turn 19 years old on or before August 31, 2008.
SUPPORT STAFF SELECTION
At this time, US Lacrosse welcomes applications for the following staff positions until November 1, 2006:
• Assistant General Manager
(at least one and no more than two to be named)
- Performs relevant duties, involved with all aspects of team logistics, operations, media relations, tryouts, etc.
• Equipment Manager
(at least one and no more than two to be named)
- Performs relevant duties, involved with all aspects of team player/staff equipment and apparel.
• Athletic Trainer
(at least one and no more than two to be named)
- Performs relevant duties, involved with all aspects of medical supplies and player/coach medical care.
• Physician
(at least one and no more than two to be named)
- Performs relevant duties; primarily at tryouts, during preparation for competition and the World Championship.
A cover letter, resume and three (3) references for all of the above positions should be e-mailed to mensdivision@uslacrosse.org by November 1, 2006.

COACHES SELECTION
At this time, US Lacrosse welcomes applications for the positions of head coach or assistant coach. Only high school head coaches with at least five (5) years experience may apply for both positions. One coach will be named as the Head Coach and up to three assistants will be named.
In their cover letter, applicants must indicate their interest in the positions of:
"Head Coach Only"
OR
"Assistant Coach Only"
OR
"Head or Assistant Coach"

• Staff selections to be announced in December 2006.
• Coach selections to be announced at the 2007 US Lacrosse National Convention.
• Duties for all of above begin upon selection and extend thorough the conclusion of World Championship in 2008.
• All positions above report to the US Lacrosse Men’s Division Director and the 2008 U.S. Men’s Under-19 Team General Manager.
• All applicants for above positions are subject to background checks.
