BALTIMORE – US Lacrosse has announced the locations for its 2007 spring and summer events, including three events that will be held at the new Dick’s Sporting Goods Park in the Greater Denver area.

Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship – May 9-12 Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Denver, Colo.
Women’s Division National Tournament – May 25-27 Lehigh University, Bethlehem, Pa.
Under-13 National Youth Festival – June 15-17 University of Massachusetts, Amherst, Mass.
Under-15 National Youth Festival – June 22-24 Disney’s Wide World of Sports® Complex, Lake Buena Vista, Fla.
National Senior Showcase – June 22-23 Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Denver, Colo.
Under-15 National Championship – TBD Dick’s Sporting Goods Park, Denver, Colo.
About the Events The US Lacrosse Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship features the top women’s college club teams in the nation. This 16-team tournament is in its seventh year and the previous six championships have all been won by Cal Poly-San Luis Obispo. The Mustangs captured their sixth straight championship in 2006 in Dallas by defeating Michigan 12-7.
The US Lacrosse Women’s Division National Tournament dates to 1934 and features players at the high school and club levels competing for region-based teams in a championship format. A record 71 teams and more than 1,400 athletes participated in the 2006 event. This marks the seventh consecutive year the event will be held at Lehigh.
The US Lacrosse Under-13 and Under-15 Youth Festivals return to their respective locations for the second straight year. Players compete on US Lacrosse Chapter teams in a festival format where no scores are kept and no champions are crowned. More than 80 teams participated in the two events last year.
The US Lacrosse National Senior Showcase features nearly 100 of the top high school boys’ lacrosse players in the nation participating on four regional teams in a championship format. The East team defeated the North 13-7 to win last year’s championship.
The US Lacrosse U-15 National Championship is a new event for boys’ and girls’ that is slated to be conducted for the first time in 2007. Teams will qualify for the national championships by winning state and regional qualifying tournaments.
