Warrior Lacrosse to Sponsor 2008 US Lacrosse Fast Break Initiative in Alabama

BALTIMORE – US Lacrosse has announced that Warrior will be the presenting sponsor of the 2008 US Lacrosse Fast Break Initiative in the Alabama/Mississippi region. US Lacrosse will head to Birmingham, Ala. February 1-3, 2008 to conduct an umpires’ training clinic and provide roundtable educational sessions with program administrators, coaches and parents. US Lacrosse returns to the region June 22-23, 2008 to conduct coaches’ education clinics, player clinics and officials’ clinics, all in conjunction with the "Alabama Games," a regional youth lacrosse festival.

Each year, US Lacrosse selects a region that displays a strong desire and initiative to grow the sport of lacrosse and then infuses that area with US Lacrosse educational resources. This program is called the US Lacrosse Fast Break Initiative. The Fast Break Initiative provides all of the important information and hands-on education that parents, players, coaches, officials and program administrators need to know to grow and sustain lacrosse in their area for years to come.

"We are extremely excited to bring our Fast Break Initiative to Alabama," said Brian Reese, director of sport development for US Lacrosse. "US Lacrosse will provide many outstanding resources to this area including our coaches, officials and players’ education and training. We would like to thank Warrior for their assistance in helping spread lacrosse in this growing section of our country and their continued support of the Fast Break Initiative."

As the presenting sponsor of the 2008 Fast Break Initiative, Warrior Lacrosse will provide men’s and women’s clinicians for the players clinics. The company will also supply lacrosse balls, men’s and women’s lacrosse sticks, women’s eye masks and raffle items for use in the Fast Break player, coaches’ and officials’ clinics.

"Warrior is very excited to be such an integral part of growing the game through supporting grassroots efforts just like this all over the nation," said Nate Maus, director of advertising and promotions for Warrior.
