| BALTIMORE – Bill Tierney of Princeton University and Cathy Swezey of Vanderbilt University have been selected as the US Lacrosse Coaches of the Week for the week ending April 20. Both will be recognized on CBS College Sports’ lacrosse broadcasts on April 27.
The Tigers’ NCAA tournament hopes got a major boost with an 11-7 upset of No. 3 Cornell on Saturday. Princeton and Brown are the last two unbeatens in the Ivy League.
The Commodores pulled off two top 10 upsets during the week, beating No. 8 Notre Dame 9-6 and No. 7 Duke 11-10. Vanderbilt has won seven of its last eight to improve to 12-4 entering the ALC Tournament.
US Lacrosse and CBS College Sports are in the fifth year of a partnership to help bring college lacrosse broadcasts to fans around the nation. CBS College Sports has a 23-game package for this season, including telecasts of the NCAA Division I, II and III women’s championships and the NCAA Division II and III men’s championships. CBS College Sports will also telecast the US Lacrosse Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship.
This Sunday, CBS College Sports will air the Big East women’s championships at 12:00 p.m. and the Patriot League men’s championships at 2:00 p.m.
