BALTIMORE – John Desko of Syracuse University and Sandy Bridgeman of the University of New Hampshire have been selected as the US Lacrosse Coaches of the Week for the week ending March 16. Both will be recognized on CSTV’s lacrosse broadcasts on March 23.
Desko’s squad beat No. 4 Johns Hopkins in overtime on March 15 to improve to 4-1 for the season, with three one-goal victories. This was the second overtime victory in a row for the Orange.
Bridgeman led the Wildcats to a 16-5 victory over previously unbeaten Harvard during the week and then beat No.10. Vanderbilt 10-7 over the weekend. UNH has won four straight to improve to 5-2.
US Lacrosse and CSTV are in the fifth year of a partnership to help bring college lacrosse broadcasts to fans around the nation. CSTV has a 23-game package for this season, including telecasts of the NCAA Division I, II and III women’s championships and the NCAA Division II and III men’s championships. CSTV will also telecast the US Lacrosse Women’s Division Intercollegiate Associates National Championship.
Men’s Patriot League play will be featured on CSTV this weekend. The Navy Midshipmen head to Hamilton, NY to take on the Colgate Red Raiders at 12 p.m. on March 23.
