The convention, the largest educational opportunity for lacrosse coaches, officials and administrators, takes place at the Baltimore Convention Center from Jan. 16-18, 2009.

This year’s convention features an expanded schedule with presentations beginning on Friday afternoon. Highlighting the list of speakers is Baltimore icon Cal Ripken, Jr., who will present the keynote address on Friday, Jan. 16 at 7 p.m. in the convention center.

The men’s coaches schedule features eight Division I head coaches, including 2010 U.S. team coach Mike Pressler (Bryant). Other notable speakers include two coaches who won national championships in 2008 — Jim Berkman (Salisbury, NCAA Division III) and John Paul (Michigan, MCLA) and 2008 National Lacrosse Hall of Fame inductee Tom Marechek.

The women’s coaches track features U.S. national team coach Sue Heether in addition to eight Division I head coaches. A highlight of the women’s schedule will be a Sunday recruiting panel featuring past IWLCA president Dani Caro (Quinnipiac) as well as top college, high school and club coaches.
