BALTIMORE US Lacrosse has announced that 64 players that participated in the US Lacrosse Womens Division National Tournament have advanced to the second round of tryouts for the 2009-2010 U.S. womens developmental team.
The event, presented by Brine and the Heather Leigh Albert Foundation, was held over Memorial Day Weekend at Cedar Lane Sports Park in Bel Air, Md., and featured more than 150 players in the Stars & Stripes Division vying for spots for the U.S. team tryout.
The second round of tryouts will be held August 1-2 at the University of Maryland Baltimore County.
The U.S. womens national team program is currently gearing up for the Federation of International Lacrosse World Cup, which will be held from June 18-27 in the Czech Republic.
