BALTIMORE– US Lacrosse, the Baltimore based national governing body of men’s and women’s lacrosse, announced the addition of Sarah Noon as managing director of membership.
Noon brings more than 25 years of experience to US Lacrosse in brand management, integrated marketing, business development and education. She last served as consultant for Family Tree and TESSCO Technologies. Prior to that position, she served as vice president, director of retail markets for TESSCO Technologies. Noon also has consumer brand management experience, having overseen accounts for the Wet Wipes division of Scott Paper Company and Cover Girl eye products for Procter & Gamble.
"Sara’s extensive consumer marketing and management experience, combined with her creativity and a connection to the sport, will serve US Lacrosse well in this critical position," said US Lacrosse’s chief operating officer, Bill Schoonmaker. "She will provide great leadership to our organization’s continued development as we work to grow the sport and attract more members. I’m very excited that she is joining our team."
Noon will oversee all membership operations including group and individual acquisition and retention, registration technology, member programs and all membership services. US Lacrosse’s membership grew 20-percent in 2008 to a current total of over 275,000 members.
Noon played lacrosse at Connecticut College, transferred to the University of Pennsylvania and graduated in 1984 with a B.A. in Fine Arts and Art History. Most recently, she served as commissioner of the Bel Air (Md.) Girls' Lacrosse Program.
