Top Players Gearing Up for US Lacrosse's U-15 National Championship

BALTIMORE – Thirty under-15 girls’ lacrosse teams and 32 U-15 boys’ lacrosse teams from all over the United States will each contend for the first-ever US Lacrosse U-15 National Championship, sponsored by Modell’s Sporting Goods. Girls’ play starts July 6, concluding with the championship game on July 8 at 2 p.m. Boys’ play starts July 8 with the championship game on July 10 at 2 p.m. All games are held at Cedar Lane Sports Park in Bel Air, Md.

The US Lacrosse U-15 National Championship trophy is displayed in the US Lacrosse Museum and National Hall of Fame in Baltimore. Tournament champions also will receive commemorative jackets provided by Endurafit, the official retailer of the US Lacrosse U-15 National Championship.

Outstanding players from the boys’ and girls’ championships will be selected to respective Lacrosse Magazine All-Tournament Teams. Brine will award new Reign sticks to the girls’ Lacrosse Magazine All-Tournament team and new Voyce sticks to the boys’ Lacrosse Magazine All-Tournament team.

The 2009 US Lacrosse U-15 National Championship was created under the collective guidance of the US Lacrosse Youth Council and a committee of national youth lacrosse leaders. An inaugural event for US Lacrosse, the organization’s mission is to provide the highest level of national lacrosse competition for U-15 boys and girls with US Lacrosse’s high standards of event management, safety, sportsmanship and camaraderie.
