Insurance Players, coaches and officials have the protection of a comprehensive lacrosse insurance program for a full year. Optional insurance plans for teams include Directors & Officers Liability and Equipment Insurance Plans. Additionally, when all members of a program are registered, the team becomes a group member and is eligible for a Certificate of Insurance. Requests for certificates can be made directly from Bollinger's web site. We are happy to clarify that all lacrosse activities, including indoor lacrosse, are covered as long as field lacrosse rules are enforced. The insurance program does not apply to any play involving box lacrosse rules or play that allows cross-checking or boarding. Please review this indoor lacrosse information on the Bollinger site.
Please call 1-800-350-8005 for more details on this extensive insurance protection, which is included in your membership dues.
Conventions/Tournaments/Events As a US Lacrosse member, you will have access to many great lacrosse events year-round! Some of the events include the Youth Festivals, the US Lacrosse Convention, the US Lacrosse Women's Division National Tournament, National Clinic Month and other national and regional events. New Start Program Ready to start a new team? US Lacrosse can help. The New Start Program is a developmental assistance program for first year men's and women's lacrosse teams or programs at any level. To learn more about the program and to apply online, please visit our Sport Development section. Interested in starting a lacrosse program but unable to fund it? The US Lacrosse Equipment Grant may be just the answer you’re looking for. Grants can include a full team’s worth of equipment (sticks and protective gear) and are awarded to programs within their first year of operation. Applicant programs must demonstrate a financial need and priority is given to those residing in a state or region where lacrosse opportunities are currently limited or absent.
Registration Options US Lacrosse offers a simplified membership structure that allows you to choose all categories of participation at no additional fee. After selecting the appropriate age level, you have the option to select the category that fits you best: player, coach, official or fan. The cross-participant fee has been eliminated so that there are only three membership levels: Youth ($25), High School ($35) and Adult ($50). US Lacrosse currently offers four group registration options. Detailed instructions regarding each option can be found in our Program Administrator brochure. Our newest registration option allows you to electronically submit your team’s registrations so that the processing will be complete within 48 hours of payment receipt. More information about the Electronic Registration for Groups can be found here. The Roster Template can also be found in the Program Administrator section of our web site.
Web Access to Database As the Program Administrator, you have the ability to gain web access to your team’s database. This allows for easier tracking of membership numbers and expiration dates of your players. You will also be able to print rosters of all members currently linked with your team. However, only the Program Administrator has rights to this access and a Data Access Application must be submitted before the access will be granted. Additionally, rosters may be sent to Mark Kamyszek, our Group Processing Associate, in order to verify membership of all players.
Coaches Education Program With the explosive growth of the sport of lacrosse around the country, the need for knowledgeable, experienced coaches is greater than ever before. US Lacrosse is committed to providing opportunities to develop these important leaders, through online offerings, clinics and comprehensive certification. By submitting your team’s registration batch to US Lacrosse, your group will be eligible for $25 discount coupons for online Level I coaching clinics. This is a great way to learn the game as a new coach or to fill in some tactics, strategies and positive coaching aspects for an experienced coach. Click here for more information about our Coaches Education Program.
Sportsmanship Card Program The Sportsmanship Card Program helps ensure a positive culture for the sport at the youth lacrosse level. This program aims to correct any unacceptable and unsportsmanlike behavior that threatens to ruin the game.
Online Resources Our online coaches’ directory is now available. This site is intended to assist US Lacrosse members with finding their favorite team, school or coach. US Lacrosse is also working on a Program Administrator directory so that PA’s can network with each other in order to set up games, enter tournaments, etc.
US Lacrosse also offers an informative guide to parents. This guide is an introduction for parents who are relatively new to the game of lacrosse. We hope to provide information - ranging from game rules to equipment needs - that will help them in your understanding of the sport.
Background Check The safety of youth players is a priority at US Lacrosse and we strongly recommend that youth lacrosse programs establish a criminal history background check program for all coaches and volunteers who interact with youth players. While there are a number of organizations that provide criminal history background check services, US Lacrosse has established a strategic alliance with the National Center for Safety Initiatives (NCSI) to provide assistance to the national lacrosse community in this regard. As a result of its strategic alliance with US Lacrosse, NCSI provides US Lacrosse-affiliated organizations with a special discount for its comprehensive service. Please visit www.ncsisafe.com to learn more about this alliance and the benefit to you.
US Lacrosse Membership Benefits All registered members of your group will still receive all the great benefits of a US Lacrosse membership, including Lacrosse magazine, special discounts and free admission to the Lacrosse Museum and Hall of Fame. A detailed list of all membership benefits can be found on our web site: http://www.uslacrosse.org/membership/benefits.phtml. |
