Equipment Grants Recipients

BALTIMORE — A record 55 lacrosse organizations will receive US Lacrosse Equipment Grants this year. US Lacrosse awarded 19 boys' packages, nine girls' packages, six stick packages, six goal packages, two Physical Education Curriculum packages, and 14 programs packages with both boys' and girls' lacrosse. The grants were awarded to programs in 22 states.

The Equipment Grant Program, in its eighth year, is an annual offering of US Lacrosse. Lacrosse programs applying for the grant must show a demonstrated financial need.

US Lacrosse worked with equipment manufacturers Brine, Warrior, STX, Harrow, Maverik, Rage Cage, Shamrock and Riddell to make the program possible. The equipment included in this year's grant packages has a retail value of more than $425,000.

"Without the generous support of the lacrosse industry we wouldn't be able to reach so many children and help put sticks in their hands," said Beth Reisinger, sport development director for US Lacrosse. "This truly is a partnership helping to seed the sport in both traditional and developing lacrosse areas."
