Coming off a silver medal finish as the runner-up to host Canada in 2006, the United States reclaimed the gold at the 2010 FIL World Championship in England. The U.S. defeated Canada 12-10 in the championship game and has now won seven of the last eight world titles. The United States will host the next FIL World Championship in Denver, Colorado in the summer of 2014.
