Welcome to the Fall 2007 - Happy Holidays (Fall Ball included)!
In this issue, we take a careful look at how lacrosse plays varying roles in women's lives in the post-collegiate world. I talk with a rookie to scene, fresh from Northwestern's 3-peat history making and new to a life that doesn't include, for the first time in years, a daily injection of lacrosse. WDPCC President Ayana Green-Oliver explores the stories of women who have created both business start-ups and empires culminating from their love of the game and helping to further catalyze its growth. Lastly, Deanna Culbreath of Central Lacrosse in NYC and I take a previously overlooked adventure into bringing one aspect of the sport -- goggles -- into our daily routines. What results, I think you'll agree, was at times light-hearted fun, and at other times, a character building exercise in response to looks from strangers. In the city where nothing is shocking because New Yorkers have seen it all before, we created a bit of a Midtown-scene. Who knew?
