US Lacrosse is now accepting nominations for two LGBTQ+ Inclusion Scholarships aimed at providing financial support to student-athletes who demonstrate positive sensitivity to and involvement in LGBTQ+ issues.

The scholarship application is open to self-identified LGBTQ+ individuals who are graduating high school seniors from the class of 2021. Applications will be accepted through May 1, 2021, with winners notified by June 1.

This new US Lacrosse scholarship is designed to promote academic excellence and increased visibility of talented LGBTQ+ students in lacrosse. Applicants must be graduating from high school in the year they apply for the scholarship, and proof of acceptance to a college/university is required.

The scholarships, which are $1,500 each, are funded in part by proceeds from Pride Month merchandise sales, as well as individual donations. A significant donation from Team USA member Michelle Tumolo helped to establish the scholarships.
