Sammy Jo Tracy graduated from North Carolina in 2017 as the holder of several school draw-control records, helping the Tar Heels win two NCAA championships during her tenure in Chapel Hill.

The two-time All-American honed her craft in the midfield circle, to the point of joining U.S. men’s team faceoff midfielder Greg Gurenlian’s company, Faceoff Academy, as the head of its counterpart for the women’s game, Draw Control Academy.

Possession time comes at a premium in lacrosse, as partially evidenced by the Upstate Pride using its first-round pick in the inaugural Women’s Professional Lacrosse League draft on Tracy. She’s an assistant coach at Arizona State.

Tracy hosted an educational clinic on draws at the 2018 US Lacrosse Convention (LaxCon), and here are three short clips from her session.
