It may not be ideal lacrosse weather in the Northwest yet, but Portland State has won five straight games and moves into this week's WCLA D-2 Top 20 poll.

The top four teams in the WCLA Division II coaches poll remained unchanged this week, with defending national champion Denver Club still ranked number one. The Pioneers were the only team among the top four to see action. DU defeated Colorado School of Mines, 21-3.

No. 2 Concordia, No. 3 SMU and No. 4 Loyola (Md.) were all idle this week.

The biggest jump this week was by No. 5 Texas Christian, which moved up six spots with convincing wins over Sam Houston and  No. 9 Texas State. TCU is 6-1 overall and enjoying a five-game winning streak.

No. 6 Cornell Club (3-0) also moved up two spots after registering wins against Syracuse Club and Ithaca Club.

Two newcomers to the poll this week are No. 13 UC San Diego (2-1) and No. 20 Portland State (5-2). PSU has won five straight, including two victories this week, after opening the season with two losses.
