For Erin Brown Millon, one of eight new Class of 2014 inductees into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame, setting goals, as much as scoring goals, was the key to her lacrosse success.

Millon, being inducted on October 25 as a truly great player, began her collegiate career with two seasons at Essex (Md.) Community College following her prep career at Fallston (Md.) High School. She then transferred to the University of Maryland and became a second team All-American as a senior in 1990. She was named to the ACC’s 50th Anniversary Team in 2002. After college, Millon was a two-time member of the U.S. Women’s National Team, helping Team USA capture world cup titles in 1997 and 2001. She also served as an alternate on the 1993 team. Millon was also the first recipient of the IWLCA President’s Award in 2004.

“I wanted to keep growing in the game because I was never satisfied with wherever I was,” she said. “It just kept going and going and going.”

Ironically, the one goal Millon never considered for herself was induction into the National Lacrosse Hall of Fame.
