On the strength of a 4-0 week, Grand Canyon made a major move in the latest WCLA Division II coaches poll, released Wednesday, jumping six spots to number two in the ranking. The big week for the undefeated Antelopes (6-0) included a pair of victories over ranked opponents. GCU defeated No. 4 Concordia, 10-6, and No. 14 CS San Marcos, 15-5.

Denver, which was idle this week, remained at the top and received five of eight first place votes. The defending champion Pioneers are 7-2 on the year. Loyola (Md.) is No. 3 and Concordia slipped two spots to No. 4 this week.

Oakland (2-0) was the only newcomer into the top ten, sliding up three spots to No. 9 following an 18-5 win over Eastern Michigan. No. 11 UC San Diego (4-1) also moved up two spots following lopsided victories over Northern Arizona and Sonoma State.

No. 15 Montana was the highest ranked newcomer in this week's poll. The Grizzlies improved to 6-2 overall with wins over Southern Oregon and Pacific Lutheran.
