US Lacrosse is offering a grant program to help emerging leaders attend the US Lacrosse West Regional Conference from Nov. 30 – December 2, 2018 in Las Vegas.

The US Lacrosse West Regional Conference is a professional development opportunity for coaches, officials, program administrators and other leaders in the lacrosse community. There will be three different program tracks offered for officials, coaches and leaders. Session topics will include team and athlete development, rules interpretation, game management and organizational leadership.

Confirmed speakers on the coaching track include Ann Elliott (head women’s lacrosse coach at the University of Colorado/assistant coach U.S. Women’s U19 team), Janine Tucker (head women’s lacrosse coach at Johns Hopkins University) and Vince Smith (head men’s lacrosse coach Colorado Mesa University).

US Lacrosse Men's and Women's Games Administration will offer grants to assist with the cost of attending. The ideal candidate has been in her/his role for 3 years or less and is focused on the middle school and high school game.

Qualified coaches, officials, or administrators who apply can receive a grant for free registration and a travel stipend of up to $400 to attend the event. Applications from all areas of involvement will be reviewed, but this program is geared toward coaches and club directors who will be participating in the coaching track at the conference. Applications are due by September 15, 2018.
