Members of the Central Ohio Chapter of US Lacrosse have been busy in supporting the growth of the game in their region. Special events, local awards, player clinics, coaches and officials training, and diversity initiatives have all been among their recent contributions to the local lacrosse community.

To capture and showcase their efforts, the chapter recently produced a short video.

“The Central Ohio Chapter and a diverse group of community lacrosse constituents are dedicated to growing the game here in Central Ohio,” said Kelly Jones-Swenson, president of the chapter.

While proud of their accomplishments, the chapter looks forward to building on its efforts in the future.

“We acknowledge that we don’t have all the answers, but we look to one another and to US Lacrosse to guide us and provide us resources and solutions for long term sustainability,” Jones-Swenson said.

As extensions of the national US Lacrosse organization, local US Lacrosse chapters are driven by engaged volunteers and designed to deliver program support and services from the national organization to local communities.

“The Central Ohio lacrosse community is rich with history and experience, but at the same time has so many emerging programs,” said Bryce Woodson, Midwest regional manager at US Lacrosse.

“The growth of the game in Central Ohio is a testament to the infectious pay-it-forward mentality that permeates throughout its key stakeholders.”
