Nearly 1,200 of the nation's top high school girls’ lacrosse players helped celebrate one of the biggest lacrosse weekends of the year by competing in the historic US Lacrosse Women's National Tournament in perfect weather conditions Saturday at Cedar Lane Regional Park, outside Baltimore.

The annual event, which dates back to 1933, has become one of the largest recruiting tournaments in the women's college lacrosse calendar. More than 160 college coaches were on hand for Saturday's competition, which featured games by 65 regional all-star teams representing 27 states and the District of Columbia.
