Unbeaten Pittsburgh and Utah State remained the respective No. 1 teams in this week’s US Lacrosse Women’s Collegiate Lacrosse Associates (WCLA) Divisions I and II coaches polls, released yesterday.

The Panthers improved to 8-0 and garnered all eight first-place votes, while San Diego State surged to No. 2 following two more wins for a 7-0 start.

The Aggies still hold the top spot in Division II, but the first-place votes were chopped after defending champion Loyola Club improved to a similar 3-0 record.

The US Lacrosse WCLA includes 230 non-varsity teams. The 2019 season will conclude with championship tournaments for each division May 8-11 in Virginia Beach, Va.
