It has been a productive week with the Return To Playing Lacrosse Advisory Group, and there have also been several recommendations, articles, and studies that we’ve collected to help us develop our recommendations. Thank you for your support and for sharing your questions with us. A snapshot of progress made, and worthy reads are shared in this week’s brief.

We’ve got questions….

Our Medical Advisory group has broken out into small groups to begin tackling the seven questions we’ve asked them to address for the initial set of recommendations that will help lacrosse athletes, programs, families, officials, and coaches make good decisions about returning to practice, activity, and games this summer.

This team is on track to have an initial set of recommendations released by the last week of May. We have built a comprehensive COVID-19 sport research repository to help our experts and are fortunate that we will benefit from our member's involvement with various multi-sport, pro league, NCAA, state level, and public health sports medicine COVID-19 response working groups.

Who else from the lacrosse community is providing input on these guidelines?

In addition to the Medical Advisory group, we have convened Sport, Event, and Risk Advisory groups for their input and feedback before releasing the recommendations. We will be sharing the names and organizations working on these groups next week when we launch our Return To Play web page on the US Lacrosse website.
