The U.S. Men’s Indoor Team players and coaching staff will hold a box lacrosse clinic for boys and girls aged 8 to 18 on Saturday, Oct. 20 in conjunction with its training weekend in Columbus, Ohio.

The clinic will be held at the Resolute Athletic Complex from 12 p.m. to 1:30 p.m. and costs $75 with proceeds benefitting the U.S. National Teams Program. Click here to register for the clinic (requires logging into / creating US Lacrosse account).

The U.S. team program is led by head coach Regy Thorpe, who played for the Rochester Knighthawks in the National Lacrosse League from 1995 to 2010. Thorpe, a captain for the U.S. Indoor Team in 2007, is also the associate head coach for the women’s lacrosse program at Syracuse University.

Thorpe’s coaching staff includes Peter Milliman and Chris Schiller. Milliman is the head men’s lacrosse coach at Cornell University and Schiller played 12 seasons with the Knighthawks in the NLL and also played on the 2007 and 2011 U.S. Indoor Teams.

The U.S. team currently consists of 46 players that will participate in the first round of tryouts at the Lacrosse All-Stars North American Invitational later this month at the Onondaga Nation. Players are competing for a spot on the final roster for the FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championship, which will be held in Langley, British Columbia from Sept. 19-28, 2019.

The United States has medaled at each of the previous four FIL World Indoor Lacrosse Championships, earning bronze in 2003, 2007, 2011 and 2015.

The U.S. men’s national indoor team trains and plays using best-in class products provide by Nike (apparel and footwear), Cascade (helmets), Warrior (equipment) and SISU Guard (mouthguards). In addition to these partners, Chipotle Mexican Grill, MedStar Sports Medicine, Greenfields and Nationwide are official sponsors of the national team. Team training is also aided by products from DJO Global, Motive Pure, NormaTec Recovery and Athletic Republic.
