The Los Angeles Wave won a sportsmanship award at the 2017 US Lacrosse Nationals in Richmond, Va. This year's event, the milestone 10th edition, will take place Aug. 2-5 in Frederica, Del.

SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse today released the full lineup of late-spring and summer boys’ and girls’ lacrosse tournaments that meet best-practice standards in five categories: venue, game format, risk management, tournament administration, and the use of certified US Lacrosse officials.

The schedule includes qualifiers for the 10th annual US Lacrosse Nationals and dozens of other tournaments that participate in the national governing body’s tournament sanctioning program. All of the events’ owners and operators have partnered with US Lacrosse over the last year or more to improve the quality of the youth tournament experience.

“We are very excited to have worked with so many willing partners in the lacrosse tournament industry who shared our vision of providing a consistent tournament experience that follow the standards established by our sanctioning program,” Robin Baxter, director of club accounts and sanctioning at US Lacrosse, said.

As the spring scholastic and recreation seasons continue, travel- and club-team coaches and managers will find available now ample opportunities to register their squads for tournaments that take place mostly in June and July. Qualifiers for the US Lacrosse Nationals allow 14U, 13U and 12U teams to earn points towards receiving a berth in the Aug. 2-5 tournament that crowns the national champion of some 300,000-plus youth-aged members of US Lacrosse. There are 37 qualifiers in 18 states on the #RoadToDelaware, beginning May 19-20 with the Michigan Youth Championships run by the state's US Lacrosse chapter.
