SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse has opened the application process for its grant programs for the 2020-21 award cycle. US Lacrosse offers grant programs for education, player development, equipment and financial assistance. Additional details on the specific grant programs are available here.

The grants are designed to assist players aged 6 through 19 with a priority on youth ages 14 and under. All applications for the 2020-21 grant cycle are due by Sunday, Sept. 20, 2020.

Live event grants, such as Coach Development Clinics, Sankofa Clinics and TryLax events, are on a temporary hold due to COVID-19 restrictions. Groups interested in hosting one of these events should still complete the grant process at this time to be in consideration when those type of activities are able to resume.

In the 2019-20 grant cycle, US Lacrosse awarded a total of 869 grants totaling $2.38 million to support efforts to grow the game at the community level. Funding for these grants is made possible through the support of US Lacrosse members, corporate partners and philanthropic donors.

Given the financial challenges the organization is facing due to the COVID-19 pandemic, it will be difficult to meet the needs of all of the applications, but US Lacrosse is committed to continuing to make an impact in supporting lacrosse organizations in need.
