Do you have a child interested in learning how to play lacrosse? US Lacrosse will hold TryLax clinics, geared toward boys and girls ages 6-14 who want to try lacrosse for the first time, on Sept. 29-30 at its headquarters in Sparks, Md. The boys’ clinic will be held on the evening of Sept. 29, while the girls’ clinic will run in the morning on Sept. 30.

The TryLax clinic is a 90-minute, introductory lacrosse experience for kids with no prior experience. The clinic features US Lacrosse designed curriculum that builds on each athlete’s physical literacy and fundamental lacrosse skills.

Instruction will be delivered by coaches from local recreational programs in an effort to help connect you with a local program. Local programs will have informational booths on-site to help you learn more about their programs.

Children won’t leave the clinic empty-handed — each participant will receive a stick, ball, t-shirt and a free one-year membership to US Lacrosse.

The TryLax clinics cost $35, including the 90 minutes of instruction and the additional lacrosse giveaways. The boys’ clinic will run from 7-8:30p.m. on Sept. 29 and the girls’ clinic will take place on Sept. 30 from 9:30-11 a.m.
