SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse today announced plans to host a professional development and educational event for lacrosse coaches, officials and organizational leaders Nov. 30-Dec. 2, 2018, in Las Vegas, Nev.

The US Lacrosse West Regional Conference will take place at the Renaissance Las Vegas Hotel, a non-gaming, smoke-free resort located a short walk from Las Vegas Boulevard. The event represents an expansion of last year’s inaugural officials-only conference in Los Angeles and will feature specific sessions for each of the three constituent groups above.

“We’re thrilled to expand our lineup of events to include another educational opportunity for those that most directly influence the lacrosse experience for kids,” Kim Rogers, director of events at US Lacrosse, said. “US Lacrosse remains focused on leading the sport’s growth, and critical to that is an educated base of coaches, officials and leaders of youth organizations and leagues. Our regional conference represents a weekend of learning and networking for those groups to become better at what they do.”

Activities planned for the event include, among others: classroom and on-field educational clinics, train-the-trainer sessions for select coaches, youth and high school rules interpretation sessions, meetings for state and regional coordinators involved in US Lacrosse’s new structure for officials, and a welcome reception and social.

US Lacrosse welcomes applications for speakers and interest from the industry for sponsorship opportunities.

Ticket prices and specific session schedules will be released at later dates. Conference registration is expected to begin in June. Accommodations at the Renaissance Las Vegas may be reserved now at the conference rate of $99 per night via the event homepage. The deadline to reserve lodging is Nov. 2; market pricing takes effect thereafter.
