Coaches, it’s time.

Team Up Speak Up week has arrived, providing you the opportunity to remind your players about the importance of concussions. Every lacrosse coach is encouraged to give the short, simple speech to their players to help change the concussion culture.

Seize the moment and remind your players that good teammates look out for each other, on and off the field. Athletes have a responsibility to tell a coach or athletic trainer if they notice concussion signs in a teammate.

Listen to these NCAA champion coaches and Team USA coaches talking about the importance of building a positive team culture by supporting a teammate who may have a head injury.

“The Team Up Speak Up speech is vital because coaches can’t be everywhere all the time,” said University of Virginia head coach Lars Tiffany. “Everyone’s got to know that their voice matters.”
