The National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) has announced changes to several rules for the 2018 boys’ lacrosse season and released its points of emphasis.

As the national governing body of lacrosse, US Lacrosse provides to the NFHS Boys’ Lacrosse Rules Committee input on rules, changes and clarification. It was our pleasure to work with the NFHS leadership on a webinar to cover the rule changes and points of emphasis, and to author an FAQ document.

You can view the webinar here or directly on YouTube, and a link to the FAQs appears below.

“Having this recording available now is a great benefit to our coach and official members, who can review all of the rule changes and points of emphasis well ahead of the 2018 season,” Gordon Corsetti, manager of the men’s officials development program at US Lacrosse, said.

We encourage all those who officiate or coach boys’ lacrosse at the high school age level and below to watch the webinar and review the FAQ document. NFHS boys’ lacrosse rules continue to represent the basis for the US Lacrosse youth boys’ rules, which we then modify as appropriate.

We’ll be covering rule changes for collegiate, high school and youth play at the US Lacrosse Convention (LaxCon), set for Jan. 19-21 in Baltimore. Register before Nov. 30 to save $35 on standard pricing.
