If you think small-sided games are only for small-sized children, think again.

Virginia men's lacrosse coach Lars Tiffany is a big believer in incorporating small-sided games into the training for the Cavaliers, just as he did when he was at Brown. His players love it, get competitive and are forced to make decisions quickly in tight confines.

"We encourage it at our level," said Tiffany. "I absolutely love what US Lacrosse is doing with the small-sided games. To turn that big lacrosse field into three of four different fields sideways, and get those 10-year olds, those 12-year olds and maybe even older, get them playing. Get more touches, get them playing on that short field - just more decision making."
