Optional Unified Field Approved for High School Lacrosse

Included in the National Federation of State High School Associations (NFHS) and US Lacrosse rule changes for the 2018 high school lacrosse season was the approval of an optional 120-yard unified field size that can be used for both boys’ and girls’ lacrosse. The existing field sizes for high school lacrosse can still be used, but the unified field is a legal alternative.

US Lacrosse Evolves Officiating Structure

SPARKS, Md. — US Lacrosse today announced changes to the national leadership structure for youth and scholastic member-officials. This announcement is the culmination of over two years’ worth of work and collaboration involving US Lacrosse staff, volunteer and key officiating leadership. A task force was convened by the US Lacrosse Board of Directors in April and that task force, composed of staff and officiating leaders from around the country, proposed this change to the Board of Directors earlier this month.
