US Lacrosse Learn to Play Clinics are specially designed for coaches with limited experience in the sport, or for anyone (age 18 and over) looking for exposure to the basic techniques of the men's and/or women's games.
This 2-3-hour, combined-gender clinic offers a hands-on experience for learning the skills needed to play lacrosse, and also provides an introduction to the fundamental coaching techniques more fully explored in the Level 1 Instructional Clinics. Learn to Play clinics do not count toward national coaching certification but are a great way to better understand the techniques of the game before pursuing CEP certification.
This clinic heavily relies on attendee participation. Participants should come prepared to be active for maximum benefit. US Lacrosse's supportive learning environment encourages coaches of all physical abilities to enroll. No protective equipment is necessary, though participants are encouraged to bring a stick. Participants will also receive a comprehensive beginner coaching guide.
Learn To Play clinics are hosted locally by US Lacrosse chapters. To register or find more information about Learn to Play clinics near you, please contact your local chapter. Not sure which one to choose? E-mail our regional development team.
