Player Application Process
USA Lacrosse is now accepting applications for players interested in being included in the tryout process for the 2025 U.S. Men’s U20 National Team. The U20 team will represent the United States at the World Lacrosse Men’s U20 World Championship from July 18-27, 2025 in Seogwipo, South Korea.
Players must be born between Sept. 1, 2004 and July 17, 2009 to meet the age requirements from World Lacrosse for the event.

One of the most dominant teams in the history of international lacrosse has been the U.S. U20* program. The U.S. has won all nine world titles since the inaugural championship in 1988. In nine world championships, the U.S. has compiled a record of 54-2.
The two losses came in 2012 as the U.S. fell to Canada and the Iroquois Nationals during pool play in Finland, but the U.S. avenged both losses in the medal round to win another championship.
In the most recent world championship in 2022, the U.S. went a perfect 7-0, edging Canada 12-10 in the gold medal game in Ireland behind five goals from C.J. Kirst.
The U19/U20 program has been a gateway to the senior national team for some of the top players in the history of the sport, including National Lacrosse Hall of Famers Pat McCabe and Roy Colsey, who played on the 1988 and 1992 U.S. U19 teams, respectively.
Other players who transitioned from the U.S. U19 teams to the U.S. senior team are Ryan Wade (1992), Ryan Curtis (1996), A.J. Haugen (1996), Tim Knowles (1996), Kevin Cassese (1999), Matt Danowski (2003), Matt Zash (2003) and Joel White (2008), Ryan Conrad (2016), Michael Sowers (2016), Jack Rowlett (2016) and Brennan O'Neill (2022).
