Working on breaking free and getting open in tight spaces by a quick change of speed and direction. Also the focus is on cutting and using teammates to keep possession of the ball.
Description of Drill-Execution
2 teams of 3 (3v3) play a possession game within the center circle. The center circle is the boundary line. If any team crosses the line with possession of the ball it is an automatic turnover. Both teams must stay inside the center circle. Emphasis is placed on getting free. Moving directly away from the ball and then back to the ball in a quick change of direction, the attackers will be able to lose their defenders.
Flat cuts do not work because it makes it very easy for the defender to intercept. If the ball goes out of the circle, the other team gets the ball.
