Games, Skill, Conditioning
Works on condition for defense and locking in the double team. Focuses on communication and footwork for the defense.
Description of Drill-Execution
Start with 6 attackers set up in different areas around the 12-meter. 1 attacker between the 12m and 8m above the top left elbow. 3 attackers between the 12m and 8m top center and, 2 attackers, 1 between the 12m and 8 on the opposite elbow and 1 behind the cage goal line extended. Each group of attackers will have a ball. X1 starts the drill with a 1v2 once the play is over, D1 and D2 move to defend top center, which progresses to a 3v2. The drill ends with D1 and D2 in a 2v2. D1 and D2 stay as the defenders until the 2v2 is over. This is a consecutive repetition drill for the defense. Once the defense is set the next progression begins.

Variations/Progression/Increased difficulty (As your players improve their skills incorporate the following…)
You can have the defense go through this drill without their sticks first to get the footwork and double teams set. Also you can add a passing rule the attackers.
