This drill is excellent for teaching players to time cuts, get open, and pivot away from pressure.  It also teaching defenders to maintain good body position in a double team.

Description of Drill-Execution

This drill requires 2 attackers and 2 defenders.  The receiver should work on catching on the inside of the body, while the passer works on placing the ball right in front of the receiver.  The attacker receiving the ball and the two defenders all cut straight towards the ball and fight for the reception-whoever catches the ball is on attack/pivots and tries to get through the double team.  The other two players become defense and establish position for a double team.  Play is over if attack crosses original line or defense comes up with the ball.
