The Whipsnakes closed out the day with a 17-16 win over Chaos with Mr.Clutch, Will Manny, delivering the game-winner with 8.9 seconds remaining.

On Saturday, the Cannons stayed red-hot, winning their fourth straight game. Marcus Holman had four goals and three assists in a 16-10 win over the Redwoods and Colin Kirst made 17 saves. Trevor Baptiste won 21 of 22 faceoffs and Atlas held off a fourth-quarter rally in an 11-9 win over Chrome.

2. Moreno still dominating

Sam Apuzzo helped her team to an 8-7 win over Taylor Moreno’s squad in the final game of week two of Athletes Unlimited, but Moreno is still dominating the leaderboard with 1,047 points after making 17 saves in the loss.

Apuzzo’s team won three one-goal games for the week, helping her close the gap on Moreno as Apuzzo now has 891 points. Those two will be captains for week three, alongside goalie Kady Glynn and rookie Abby Bosco.
