Good morning. Here’s the latest from around the lacrosse world:

1. We released our preseason All-Americans for Division II men’s and women’s lacrosse Tuesday.

NCAA finalist Mercy led the way with three first-team selections on the men’s side, while Le Moyne, East Stroudsburg and West Chester each had two players make first team on the women’s list.

All-Americans were compiled by USA Lacrosse Magazine staff and contributors with input from college coaches.

2. The Rochester Knighthawks are the lone remaining unbeaten team in the National Lacrosse League and came in at No. 1 in Jack Good’s NLL Power Rankings this week.

3. We’re inside the top 15 of our college preseason countdown. On Tuesday, we featured the No. 14-ranked Delaware men and Notre Dame women.

4. LacrosseTV (former Lax Sports Network) announced its CAA Game of the Week schedule Tuesday. The 23-game slate includes 12 men’s and 11 women’s games, plus both CAA semifinals and championship games.

5. Brett Makar will wear the No. 1 jersey for the Maryland men’s lacrosse team this season, according to Inside Lacrosse — the first time a defenseman has been bestowed the honor. Three of the last four players to wear No. 1 for the Terps have won the Tewaaraton Award.

6. The National Lacrosse League has partnered with Every Child Matters on a league-wide initiative that brings awareness to the forcible placement of Indigenous children in residential and boarding schools by the Canadian and U.S. governments from the 19th century to as late as 1996 in Canada, the league announced Tuesday.

WHAT WE’RE WATCHING

The Amherst men’s lacrosse team’s annual Mountain Run raising more than $80,000 for the Drew Kelleher Foundation. A former Amherst student-athlete, Kelleher died suddenly and unexpectedly in 2018.

Georgia Swarm defender Jeff Henrick’s girlfriend Crystal Sorem has a TikTok account with more than 340,000 followers that pokes plenty of fun at the former Ohio State standout. On Tuesday, Sorem’s video perfectly encapsulating the frustration explaining to lacrosse agnostics the various versions of the game made the rounds on social media.
