Application

The Proposal Form is Now Open!​

First Stick applicants must submit a Proposal Form in order to be eligible to receive an equipment grant for the 2020 spring season.

NEW THIS YEAR: US Lacrosse is utilizing a streamlined, one-stop proposal form for all grant requests. All organizations seeking support, regardless of the amount or type requested, are asked to follow this process. This 4-stage process will reduce the effort needed to apply for one or more grants and give each applicant group the best chance of success.

Benefits

Organizations can apply to receive a Starter Kit Package, Youth Team Grant, or High School Team Grant through the US Lacrosse First Stick Program.

  • The Starter Kit Package provides 30 lacrosse sticks, two dozen soft practice balls, and two 3’x3’ goals to help organizations introduce the sport to new participants! Starter Kit grants also include complimentary US Lacrosse membership for up to 2 adult coaches and up to 30 new youth players. Before submitting a proposal, please consider the TryLax™ Grant for a more integrated opportunity.
  • The Youth or High School Team Grant provides enough equipment for 20 field players and 1 goalie. Organizations that receive a Team Grant are required to be participants in the US Lacrosse 100% Membership Program. They will receive complimentary US Lacrosse membership for up to 2 adult coaches and up to 20 new youth or high school players. Priority is given to 14U programs and organizations looking to balance participation equally between boys and girls.
